(Paris, France)–A Kabylian human rights activists group initiated in exile–France–a “marching campaign” to raise awareness about the grim situation that Kabylians have been enduring from the Algerian criminal regime since 2021. This march is called “Liberty March”, it aims to denounce human rights violations in Kabylia and request an immediate release of all Kabylia’s innocent detainees, who are unjustly jailed on bogus charges by the Algerian military regime. “Over 700 Kabylians are rotting in Algerians’ jails, including 38 Kabylians who are sentenced to death,” says Moh Said– one participant in the march. “We can’t be silent, we need to act, and let the international community be informed about the human right abuses in Kabylia.”
This long march started on September 2nd, 2024, from la Bretagne region, in the northern part of France, and it is supposed to end in Geneva, at the United Nations office, where participants will forward a letter to UN officials.
This marching campaign is highly followed in social media day by day, and Kabylians are supporting and cheering these heroes.
