( Paris, France)–While diplomatic relations between Algiers and Paris bottomed after the recognition of the sovereignty of Morocco over the Polisario by the French President Emmanuel Macron, new developments occurred, and tumbled again what has been left between Algeria and France. In Fact, according to French media and the DGSI, Algeria’s officials in service, working in consulates in France were involved in crime which targeted Amir DZ–Algerian dissent and social media influencer who was granted asylum in France. Amir DZ was kidnapped in order to be brought back secretly to Algeria by transiting him via Spain. The stunning revelation in this horrifying plan is that the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune was directly involved in this extortion operation. Unexpectedly, some journals, namely, le Figaro, portrayed him as the mastermind.
These revelations angered Algiers, and expelled a dozen of French officials on a mission in the French embassy in Algiers. This led France to reciprocate, and retaliated by expelling the same amount of Algerian officials in mission in France.
Today’s new development was made by the French Court of Appeal in Paris regarding the Algeria’s request to extradite Mr. Aksel Bellabaci–a peaceful activist and a prominent adviser of Ferhat Mehenni, the leader of MAK ( Kabylia Self-determination movement)– who was accused of terrorism by the Algerian military janta for burning Kabylia in 2021, which caused over 250 dead, and encouraging the mob killing of Djamal Ben Smail. Therefore, the French Court denied the extradition of Mr. Belleabaci because the charges provided are spurious, and based on lies. This is a great victory for Aksel, Kabylia and human rights. After the Court verdict, his attorney G-William Goldnadel stated on X, “I’m happy for my client Aksel Bellabaci, high Kabylian official. The extradition warrant issued by the Algerian dictatorship was based on lies. On this day of justice, my thought is for Boulam Sansal who’s wrongfully incarcerated.”
The Algerian brutal regime burned Kabylia by modern means, notably, drones, helicopters and white phosphorus in order to incriminate Kabylia self-determination movement of terrorism, its peaceful leaders and activists. Morocco and Israel were also in the crosshairs of Algiers, and were accused as arsonists.
By this demoniac plan, the Algerian gruesome state was seeking international sympathy to crack down on Kabylia’s activists who are exiled in Western countries or living permanently abroad. In Kabylia, after the amendment of Article 87 bis, the Algerian ruthless regime stifled Kabylia’s activists by imprisoning over 500 activists on bogus charges, and condemned 38 innocent to death sentences.
