(Algiers)–Kamira N’ait Sid– the co-chair of World Amazigh Congress (WAC), or le Congrès Mondial Amazigh, an international NGO, which advocates the defense of the rights of the Amazigh people–who served an unfair and arbitrary sentence on spurious charges of 3 years in prison, after being sentenced on September 1^st, 2021, is still harassed by Algeria’s repressive justice.

According to her attorney–Fetta Sadat, the Algerian Supreme Court overturned her sentence on March 28^th, 2024, following an appeal to the Supreme Court, introduced by Kamira N’ait Sid.

Therefore, her case is again back and under review before the Algiers Criminal Court of Appeal.
