(Paris)–On Thursday 23rd, 2025, European Parliament voted a resolution to urge the Algerian military regime to release from prison the French-Algerian author–Boualem Sansal, 75 years old, who was arrested and imprisoned on 16 November 2024 in Algiers.
The resolution was adopted by 533 votes, 24 against and 48 abstentions.
Also, the parliament called for the release of Mohammed Tadjadit, and other human rights activists, detained arbitrarily for exercising their universal rights to freedom of speech and opinion.
