On 5th January 2024, an online fundraising campaign was launched by a group of Kabylia’s self-determination activists living in the United States, to help and support the Kabylians families, victim of the Algerian dictatorship regime, which has imprisoned arbitrarily their relatives, simply because they have expressed their universal right of self-determination. Most of the detainees are parents, their kids are in desperate need for some income to sustain themselves and to have a normal life as usual!

In their campaign message, fundraisers wrote: “The Kabyles of North America have taken the action to launch a fundraising campaign to help Kabyle detainees and their families”.

This is not the first campaign since Algeria is holding more than 500 innocent detainees. Similar campaigns have been launched in the past. Therefore, financial support is needed until the liberation of all the hostages. Their goal is to collect $30 K. To reach this amount, Kabylians in the diaspora should participate and donate. In this action the number of donors is key, because it is proportional to raise money.
